ALOHA! Put on your best casual Hawaiian attire and get ready be a part of “Tropical Night & Project Light”. Join us on Friday, August 22nd, 2025, from 6-8 PM.
We will enjoy a fabulous luau-themed dinner and entertainment in the beautiful setting at The Garrison Venue, Salisbury, NC.
Get ready to be challenged and inspired as we hear the story of one set free from the bondage of Human Trafficking.

2nd Annual Anywhere Anyway 5k
May 15 - June 15
Get ready to lace up your sneakers and join the excitement of Project Light’s Second Annual Anywhere Anyway 5K! This virtual race is set to be bigger and better than ever, and we’re calling on first time ever 5K folks, runners, walkers, and fitness enthusiasts everywhere to participate or sponsor this incredible event. From mid-May to mid-June, you’ll have the freedom to complete your 5K—whether it’s on a treadmill, around your neighborhood, or along your favorite trail or on your shopping day. Do it at your leisure and keep track of of your distance each day until you reach the 5K time of 3.1 miles. Registration opens soon, so get ready to secure your spot for just $30. Funds raised will shine a light on our mission, and we’d love for you to be part of it—whether as a participant or a sponsor. Stay tuned for more details and let’s make this year’s 5K an unforgettable celebration of community and movement!

Grand Opening of New Office
October 1, 2024
The Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of our new office in the Rowan Community Center was a great event! We are so excited for all that will be accomplished by having this space. Several community leaders and elected officials came for this occasion, as well those who simply believe in our mission to interrupt growing human trafficking in Rowan County.

Rally Cry
April 27, 2024
This was a time of prayer and worship as we had multiple guest speakers of all denominations coming together to pray over Rowan County regarding the evil of Human Trafficking.
We had prayer warriors praying for all of the key danger areas of human trafficking. We also had an amazing time of praise and worship. It was a tremendous experience!

Christiana Lutheran Youth Presentation

Dr. Jim Duncan with Project Light was able to present the Do's and Don'ts of Human Trafficking Awareness to the youth class of Christiana Lutheran Church. It is important to educate our young people about how to be aware of human trafficking around us, and we're grateful to the church for letting us present.

PPAT Presentation

Project Light Rowan had the opportunity to collaborate with Patriotic People Against Trafficking (PPAT) to try and bring awareness to Human Trafficking in our area. Vaugh Dalrymple, certified presenter with Project Light and PPAT representative presented Drs. Jim and Linda Duncan with an award of valor. We are grateful for Sloan Lake Community Church and Pastor Zack Sizemore for hosting this presentation.

National Human Trafficking Awareness Day

Project Light Rowan, Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, and the Salisbury Police Department Victim Advocacy Department partnered together to bring more awareness of Human Trafficking. There was special music and several guest speakers. It was a tremendous success!

Great American Eagle Society Presentation

Project Light Rowan was able to present our Human Trafficking awareness presentation to the members of the Great American Eagle Society, as well as interested members of the community. We are grateful for the GAES for hosting this presentation, and for the First Reformed Church of Landis for allowing the use of their facilities for this event.
